An example of Gale & Snowden Architects working in an historic environment meeting the challenges of integrating new build into a national monument.
The Grade 1 Listed Trelowarren Estate has been in the Vyvyan family since the 14th Century. The purpose of the development is to prolong the life of the Grade 1 listed building. The whole scheme has been designed with the input of the local authority, English Heritage and the Historic Garden Society to enable the client to realise income that will allow future generations of his family to continue to maintain and enjoy this family seat. The project has involved renovation and restoration of these historic buildings together with extensive new buildings to create sustainable timeshare units, leisure facilities, restaurant, arts centre.
