17th Century Farm House renovation & extension - Hampshire, UK

The brief was to re-plan the existing house and extend to provide additional accommodation. The project included the removal of dilapidated 20th Century additions, and building a new an extension to provide additional living accommodation for the family.

The extension is a light and airy modern timber framed construction with exposed softwood floor and roof beams. This compliments the dark and heavy weight construction of the original building, and has been designed to allow large french windows to catch the heat from the low evening sun in the spring and autumn.
